This is a space for those whose emotions have felt too big, too indescribable and have felt alone in their experiences.
Here, we heal individually, but together.
Here, we honor emotions as energy in motion.
Here, we hold space for the hard, invisible, and yet deeply imprinted experiences and emotions stuck in our bodies.
Here, we decide to let go AND let in.
Here, we decide to feel it all and express it through dance.
This is your moment: use it as you want, feel it as you want. Step into it and transform within it for the better.
Dance FOR your emotions. See them.
Acknowledge them, honor them.
Dance WITH your emotions. Befriend them. They are not your enemies.
Simply dance your emotions, all of them.

One day I was at a zumba class, and all I wanted was to cry. I didn’t want to dance, and be happy with a big smile, I wanted to be able to dance and cry if I wanted to because I wasn’t doing well, but I felt like I couldn’t. The music & moves that I still love, wasn’t the ones I could express my emotions. At least not the ones I was experiencing. Then during my healing journey, emotions has been quite something for me. It was during my healing journey that I realized that I was completely disconnected from my emotions and my body. I realized that mindset work wasn’t enough for me and that I had a lot of trapped emotions in my body. While learning to feel and let those emotions in and out, I remembered that time at the zumba class…,mixed with how much I missed as well my contemporary and hip hop lessons from when I was younger, and decided that one day, I’ll create dance with your emotions. So here we are, and because the body does keep the score, through this project, I want us to finally feel safe to feel and express our emotions, through dance.

Yes! All choreographies are made for beginners/intermediate levels. If you can’t do a move, it’s ok! The goal here is not perfection but moving the body and your emotions within. And by the way, we are all dancers, not professionals, but we can dance;)
